SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--URS Corporation (NYSE:URS - News) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Defense to provide acquisition support services to the U.S. Marine Corps’ Mine Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) Vehicle program in Stafford, Virginia. The 20-month contract has a maximum value of $66.5 million to URS.
The MRAP Vehicle program supports the acquisition and sustainment of military vehicles specifically designed to deflect bomb, land-mine, IED blasts, and small arms fire. Under the terms of its contract, URS will provide technical and program management expertise, and functional support services, to the program, including assisting with business and financial management; equipment integration; logistics; environmental, safety and occupational health initiatives; systems engineering; test and evaluation; and quality management.
